Yoga / Meditation

Do you need a break from intense learning, Discord hangouts, or the world in general? I'm happy to host short (~30 minute) yoga & meditation sessions in between classes or as a break from other activities. You don't need a yoga mat (any blanket or towel will do), no prior experience necessary, and you can be anywhere (even outside). This will have to happen through Zoom, but all the yoga/meditation I have done over Zoom has still felt grounding and restorative!

Anyone is welcome; you do not need any prior yoga or meditation experience. I will walk through mostly beginner exercises in centering our breaths, stretching our bodies, and quieting our minds.

What you will need:

  • a yoga mat (if you don't have one, a коврик or towel will also work)

  • clothes you feel comfortable moving in (and it's better to be barefoot, socks can slide on the mat)

  • enough space for movement (a good estimate is: can you swing your arms without hitting anything?)

  • ideally a quiet room where you can't be disturbed, but it's okay if that's not possible!

She teaches a variety of classes on Youtube for free ranging from 10 to 60 minutes. I really like her bedtime classes for stretching and relaxing.

Some of my SBY teachers have posted free videos on Vimeo. They're more advanced, but there are some beginner classes, meditations, and Pilates classes further down the page.

It's a meditation app with guided meditations for all kinds of moods/times of day. It is unfortunately not free, but you can try it for free for a week to see if you like it! I used to have a hard time falling asleep, but now I listen to one of the sleep "wind down" meditations every night and it helped tremendously! They also have yoga & movement exercises.
