We will reproduce classical experiments (that got people Nobel Prizes!), and learn about algorithms that help understand evolution, and measure the diameter of your hair!

• What are the codes of life? What’s a genetic program and how can one modify and write genetic programs?

• Why DNA is a double helix and why we really don’t care.

• How do we know evolution has actually happened? What algorithms do we need to find this out?

• How DNA is being sequenced and why was it so difficult the first time and so easy now?
